Jason Leavitt, UAS Planner, NH Department of Transportation Bureau of Aeronautics. Jason joined NHDOT in 1992, holding an Associate's degree in Civil Engineering. Following an 18-month training program, he worked for 27 years at the Bureau of Construction as a Contract Administrator and Field Inspector. In 2015, he obtained his Private Pilot license, and in 2017, he added his Remote Pilot certificate. Jason transferred to the Bureau of Aeronautics in July 2021, filling the newly created position of UAS Planner. Jason conducts the UAS flights for NHDOT along with NH airport inspections, assists with state law/policy writing, and is the airport manager at Alton Bay Ice Runway. He is also a part-time Police Officer and Volunteer Firefighter.
